Name of an English engineer who imported from America the flat-bottomed “Stevens” rail, it is widely used on modern railroad, is composed of a head, a web and a foot. Hot-rolled, at the carbon rate between about 0,6% and 0,8%, at the high manganese rate between 0,7% and 1,6% and at the silicon rate between 0,1% and 0,6%.
Lightweight rail : S7 to S30 AFNOR following EN 13674-1&4 et DIN 5901
Heavyweight rail : RN45 to 60E1 (UIC 60)

-       S1100A (yield strengh 1080N/mm2)

Type: A45 – A55 – A65 – A75 – A100 – A120 – A150
Grooved rail
The Public Transport by tramway came back since few years in every major cities, the industrial sector has developed a new rail profile: the grooved rail, type 35 G. It can be installed in city flush with the pavement to keep up with traffic.
They are subject to thermal characteristics to increase their resistance to friction and reduce squeaks caused by the rail / wheel contact, especially in small radius curves.

Manufactured according to standard EN14811: 2006
